Murrayhill Veterinary Hospital

Dependable, friendly, professional, caring and legitimate.  These are just a few adjectives to describe this Veterinary hospital.  

When we got our dog from the Humane Society in October of 2010, we needed a vet, and we came upon this hospital because it was a five minute drive from our home. Little did we know that this hospital is excellent in every service that they do.

Our dog is sensitive to many things and has a variety of health issues because of his problems. Therefore, we come here on an average of once a month at least and every single time we were satisfied and thankful that our dog has such a caring and veterinary. 

It is extremely easy to make an appointment and the staff is well organized and also have a lot of knowledge when I ask questions on the phone.  If they do not, they will get me a nurse or doctor to talk with immediately.

Virtually all the nurses and staff know who our dog is by name and always treat him so kindly.  They not only work to just work, but they love animals and pets.  The compliments that our dog receives is endless and we can always expect a positive experience when we bring him in.

We are often taken at our appointment time or no more than 15 minutes past our appointment time.  We get to see a nurse first who does a basic check-up and gets the information to relay to the doctor.  In addition they spoil my dog with treats and belly rubs!

The nurse informs the doctor of our dog's condition before she comes in soon after. When the doctor arrives she allows me to get all my worries and concerns out before she says anything.  They do a wonderful job of listening to our concerns and are never in a rush to get you in and out. When the doctor is finished checking on our dog - in front of us, she provides us with a list of recommendations and necessary treatments.  She never forces us to do anything and even though she lists all of the pre-cautionary treatments as well, she never tries to rip us off.  And every time they have provided medication or treatment for our dog, he has always responded well and has not had any setbacks. Just a quick list of his previous ailments include, stomach issues, ear problems, irregular growth, potty issues, tooth concerns and an irregular heartbeat. They have made us aware of all of this and the severity of his condition.

The vet costs are like any vet costs, moderately pricey.  But when you have a pet it is assumed that vet treatment is not meant to be cheap.  However, like I had mentioned, they do a wonderful job of explaining anything we purchase or think of purchasing.

Lastly, the staff will always call me a day after the visit to make sure that our dog is doing okay.  That means the world to us and shows us how much they care.

Honestly, I do not have experience with other veterinary hospitals, but it looks like I will not be having any other experiences in the near future because we are only taking our dog here.  I would highly recommend you take your cat or dog here is you are highly concerned about their well being.

My beloved baby, Fred, started to to act differently. He just wasn't himself. I was an emotional wreck. My husband and I called the clinic after I got off of work and they were going to close in an hour. That didn't matter. They were totally booked, but insisted that I brought my baby in right away...they would fit him in and take care of him. The staff were so pleasant, on the phone and in person. The clinic is spotless clean and very accomodating.

Dr. Goodman is so amazing! He has so much compassion towards his patients and their families. I never felt like a number to him or his staff. They really cared about my Freddie. Every procedure they needed to do to find out was wrong with my baby was explained to me in great detail. Dr. Goodman and his staff stayed well beyond closing to make sure Fred was taken care of and I didn't feel like we were imposing at all. They were supposed to close at 7pm, but we were there until 8:40pm.

Dr. Goodman called me the next day to give me the results of all of Fred's tests. He was just as pleasant on the phone as he was in person. He gave me the results he had and was determined to get some questions answered before he called me again the next day.

Dr. Goodman and his staff are kind, warm, and compassionate. I will continue to take my Fred and, my other baby, Daisy, there for all future vet visits.

I can't say enough about Murrayhill Veterinary Hospital. From the caring receptionists to the talented and kind techs and vets, Murrayhill is the very best! I've taken my 14-year old toy poodle to other vets in the area over the years but have never had the outstanding service and personal, quality care that I've experienced here. And the facility is always immaculate. I recommend them very highly.
